May 22-29, 2017 Pomona, New Jersey

It rained the entire 3 hours it took us to get here. The roads are getting tighter the further north we go... Old towns, roads, bridges, etc... We stayed at the Pomona RV Campground. It is a small park, clean with lots of seasonal campers and lots of trees. It is right next to the airport, so we get to see some commercial jets come it and out and get to hear the super loud military jets playing around the area...

New state!!!

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ
This is about 15 minutes from our campground. It has been a disappointment... The roads have more potholes than the ones in Houston and the boardwalk, while nice and wide, is just a bunch of store fronts with fancy hotels that could use a spruce up...

PHILADELPHIA, PA
About 45 minutes west of us was Philly... It is a large city with all the large city issues. However, the history here is amazing... It is the second Capital of the US after New York. We visited Independence Hall...

Congress Hall

House of Representatives

East and West Committee Rooms

Senate Chamber

Committee Rooms - Original Portraits of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette

This is the room where the constitution was drafted... Washington, Jefferson, John Hancock, etc... they all sat here.

George Washington's Chair

CAPE MAY
The southernmost point in New Jersey...

WWII Bunker
WWII Observation Tower
There are a lot of Victorian Mansions in Cape May...

Off to Jersey City and New York City!!!
