LOS ANGELES, CA
Took a drive to LA and visited Venice Beach and Hollywood. Both were dissapointing visits... Venice Beach was run down with a lot of homeless people around. Hollywood was not much better... crowded, not very glamorous and lots of "strange" people...
WALKER PASS, CA
Picked up the guys at Walker Pass and took them to Acton for a couple of days of rest...
LAKE ISABELLA, CA
After dropping the guys off, we drove to Lake Isabella... Sad, the lake is drying out due to the drought. It is a beautiful place surrounded by mountains, but the lake is horribly low...
The views to get here are just as beautiful...
RED ROCK CANYON, CA
About halfway from Acton and Lake Isabella you find Red Rock Canyon. Very interesting rock formations and beautiful colors make this a must stop!
HORSESHOE MEADOWS
Drove the guys to Horseshoe Meadows Campground just outside Lone Pine so they could continue their hike to Mount Whitney, the tallest peak in the lower 48 states.
