El Mirage is a suburb on the northwest side of Phoenix. We stayed at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort. This is a resort with combined permanent residents and visitors. It has some very nice facilities and golf courses on site.
Our visit here was primarily to visit with Cori's brother Todd and his family.
Took the opportunity to visit White Tank Mountain. This is a park in the mountains near El Mirage. It has lots of hiking trails and a small RV park.
We hiked one of the trails and enjoyed the native carvings on the rocks along the hike.
We are the "Loose Gravel" not tied to anything sharing our "Travels"... Cori and I would like to share with you our adventures and pictures while we travel on our Motorhome with our trusted "Guard Dog" Toby. Hope you all enjoy and send us your comments...

March 13-20, 2016 Tucson, Arizona
Arrived in Tucson late in the afternoon. Staying at Lazy Days KOA, really nice campground...
Michael is with us and he wants to visit his old co-workers at Saguaro National Park. This is a very simple park you can see in a couple of hours...
We drove up to Mount Lemmon. It's a very nice change from the dessert; a forest with very cool temperatures within 45 minutes of Tucson.
The road ends in the town of Summer Haven a cute small town with some stores and restaurants. The road dead ends here, so you have to come back the same way you came in... Many hiking trails and campsites along the way...
We visited the Desert Museum. Here they have tons of desert animals as well as a lot of native plants. You walk the trails and enjoy the museum. Very unique and well worth the time!

We stopped overnight at Fort Stockton RV, in Fort Stockton, TX... good place to overnight with a small restaurant and large sites...

March 11, 2016 Starting the Adventure
We made a "crazy" decision... we sold the house and moved to our motorhome, gave away most of our "stuff" and stored what we wanted to keep. Now we full time in our motorhome and travel the country! Moved full time to the motorhome in February 2016 and will start traveling in April 2016.
